SoFLO Volleyball Academy hosted the first tournament in the 2017 club season with great success. There were four tournaments played of four different age groups 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U. The clubs present were Florida Suns, Florida Typhoons, Hurricane Volleyball, JP Avengers, Miami Xtreme Volleyball Academy, NMB Volleyball Club, Rival Volleyball, Sierra Volleyball Club, and SoFLO Volleyball Academy. It was a weekend of well-played volleyball where SoFLO was able to succeed in most divisions. The MVP of each division, which are voted by the coaches and officials, were a clean sweep from SoFLO Volleyball.

- On Saturday January 14, 2017 - 12U Tournament (AM Wave):

• SoFLO 12U won the championship game defeating NMB 11U in two sets 25-13, 25-19. Jessica Rodriguez and Elena Lam from SoFLO Volleyball Academy were the co-MVP’s. Hurricane 12U finished in 3rd Place. 

- On Saturday January 14, 2017 - 14U Tournament (PM Wave):

• SoFLO 14U won the championship game defeating Hurricane 13U in two sets 25-5, 25-10. Katherine Jackson from SoFLO Volleyball Academy was the MVP. NMB 13U finished in 3rd place.

- On Sunday January 15, 2017 – 16U Tournament (AM Wave):

• Sierra 16U won the championship game defeating SoFLO 15U in three sets 19-25, 25-21, 15-11. Katie Kaminski from SoFLO Volleyball Academy was the MVP. SoFLO 16U Gold Dana finished in 3rd place.

- On Sunday January 16, 2017 – 18U Tournament (PM Wave):

• SoFLO 16U Gold Mary & Andres won the championship game defeating Miami Xtreme 16U in three sets 25-20, 23-25, 15-10. Stephanie Gomez from SoFLO Volleyball Academy was the MVP. SoFLO 18U Gold finished in third place.
